NEW PICTURE BOOK RELEASED IN SEPTEMBER!

The Attic Door

Eduardo hears noises coming from behind a second, scary and creepy door in his bedroom that leads into the attic. And it’s not the door to his bedroom. His vivid imagination leads him to believe it might be a monster.

I’m thrilled about this book because it draws from my own personal experience. In second grade, my family moved into a new house in Chicago, Illinois. My sister, brother, and I each got to pick our own bedrooms, and I chose the one with a big attic door. It didn’t bother me—until winter arrived. When the wind howled through that old attic door, it would rattle and make eerie noises that sent chills down my spine! I was so scared.

WORKSHOP: I’ve put together a workshop for adults and teens who wish to learn how to write a picture book. It’s a hands-on training workshop where students will bring an idea with them, a pencil, and paper. I’ll supply the rest. The workshop will be at the Williamsburg, Virginia library on January 18, 2025, 1:00 to 4:00pm. (You must contact the library to save your seat at 757-741-3000, Option #2).

I’M FISHING WITH POP-POP TODAY’s HAPPY BOOK BIRTHDAY! It’s unbelievable! My picture book has been out for two years.

See you next year!
