This month, I’m so excited to showcase Kidlit at Heart Picture Book Group Authors.

But first, I’d like to announce the winner of Kidlit at Heart’s Book Bundle Giveaway. It’s Kathy from Canada! Congrats Kathy! And, thanks to everyone who entered.

Members of Kidlit at Heart met through Julie Hedlund’s 12×12 Community a couple of years ago. A few of our members have departed but the four of us remain focused and excited to continue to work together. We lift each other up through our author journey and find ways to market individually and as a group. If you’d like to know more about each author, go to https://leslieevatayloe.com and there is an article on each author located on the newsletter page. Or go to kidlitatheart.com.

Renee Bolla (bottom right in picture) is a former retail executive turned children’s picture book author with two self-published books, Finding Bunny and Imagine That, released in 2022. Renee draws inspiration from her role as a mother to her three daughters, infusing each story with her personal experiences. Writing has always served as her cherished creative outlet, allowing her to unlock the enchantment of literature that opens infinite doors to imaginative realms. Renee is currently immersed in writing her third picture book, set to debut on Mother’s Day 2024.

Tarja Nevala (top left in picture) was born in Finland and raised on three continents. Her colorful life and rich heritage have developed her creative style as a children’s picture book writer. A wide range of personal interests and life experiences add depth to her stories. Tarja writes of real-life situations with humor, imagination, and delightful surprise. Baking Day at Belle’s and Fillip Woke Up On Christmas Eve are available now. She will launch a Kickstarter in 2024 for her third book My Sis and I. Tarja lives in the Pacific Inland Northwest, USA.

The inspiration for her stories come from personal life experiences. Leslie loves to create, discover, entertain, and explore through her writing.

Mona Voelkel (top right in picture) is an award-winning reading specialist and picture book author of Stanley and the Wild Words with a passion for sharing the joy of books, writing, and creative pursuits with people of all ages. Look for her next picture book, Moon Choo-Choo coming in mid-2024!
